Pipe Bursting

Unlike traditional sewer line replacement, pipe bursting does not require full excavation of the existing damaged line. With two small access points at the beginning and end of the line, our team will use top-of-the-line pipe bursting equipment to install a brand new sewer pipe in place of the old line without disruption. Once access is created, we feed a heavy-duty steel cable affixed with a bursting head into the line. Attached to the other end of the cable, a pneumatic jack system is attached to specialty equipment that breaks up the damaged line while it is in ground. As the cable is fed into the line, we insert the flexible, seamless, and incredibly durable High Density Polyethylene pipe (HDPE) in place of the old line. Our pipe bursting crew has extensive training in making this process seamless from start to finish.
